SOUTH SHIELDS GOLF CLUB - DRESS CODE
In accordance with its stated policy of ongoing monitoring, the Board has re-visited the issue of the dress code both in the Clubhouse and on the Golf Course.
It is the responsibility of members and visitors to present themselves in attire and footwear which are smart, clean, tidy and appropriate.
To avoid the possibility that a relaxed dress code will be abused we highlight that which is and which is not acceptable:-
- Denim jeans may be worn throughout the clubhouse but not on the golf course. They must be clean and must not be ripped, torn or in a generally tattered/frayed/threadbare condition.
- Track suit trousers are not allowed within the clubhouse or on the golf course.
- Football or rugby shirts are not allowed within the clubhouse or on the golf course.
- Tailored shorts are allowed but only if cut to knee length and worn with socks.
- Caps/hats must not be worn in the clubhouse.
- Shoes must be worn within the clubhouse at all times.
- Training shoes will be allowed within the clubhouse but not on the golf course.
- Golf shoes must not be worn in the clubhouse outside of any designated spiked areas.
