- Preferred lies – a player may lift clean and place their ball within 6 inches but not nearer the hole on all fairways and closely mown areas of the golf course including the practice area.
- All players must drop off all temporary greens, main greens and tees. A player may lift and drop their ball within 1 club length, but not nearer the hole without penalty.
- Plugged Balls – If a player’s ball becomes plugged in the rough it may be lifted and cleaned and dropped within 12 inches but still in the rough but not nearer the hole, without penalty.
- To help minimise the ‘wear and tear’ around the greens during the winter months will all golfers please ensure that they do not take their trolleys across the white lines on the approaches to the greens.
- Trolleys must not be taken around greenside fringes.
We hope these rules clarify any eventuality which may occur whilst you are playing this winter.
